Ella Burdett, Intern
Ella Burdett is a masters student in International Relations at Kings College London. In addition to her academic research which focuses on topics such as climate refugees, migration and global governance, Ella is a working group member of the King’s Think Tank Defence and Diplomacy Policy Centre as well as a member of Chatham House’s Common Futures Conversations (CFC). Through the CFC platform she collaborates with other young people from across Africa and Europe to identify sustainable solutions to international issues concerned with the environment, inequality and conflict. She has also worked as a research analyst in Thailand on a project aimed at developing agricultural best-practices for converting rice farmers from conventional to organic methods.
Ella's involvement with Common Earth stems from a deep care for the global need to protect the planet and its people, cultivate sustainable and harmonious relationships between people and the earth, and safeguard vulnerable communities for the future. She hopes to support Common Earth in the pursuit of these goals through engaging youth and amplifying the voice of Common Earth.
